Low-Code Dominance
An astonishing 73% of developers who fulfill the survey revealed that they predominantly or exclusively use low-code solutions, which indicates the growing influence and efficiency of low-code platforms in the hands of developers and how businesses are investing in application development platforms for their operations.
Diverse Educational Backgrounds
Contrary to conventional expectations, only 31% of developers have a Computer Science degree. The report highlights that one-fourth of developers are self-taught, underlining individuals' diverse paths to excel in the dynamic technology field.
We assume that Mendix can attract future developers from a diverse audience who don’t necessarily need previous formal computer science skills to make an impact.
Collaboration at its Core
The spirit of collaboration is thriving, with 47% of low-code software developers actively participating in cross-functional IT and Business teams. We can see here the importance of breaking down silos and fostering a collaborative environment for more effective and efficient development processes, as Mendix’s capability to promote and facilitate the communication between Business and IT roles within the companies.
